Hello my name is ***** ***** am I speaking with?

All Mercruisers are cataloged by serial number, can I get that number so I can see exactly which engines you have.

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
my engines are alpha ones
Expert:  Jason replied 12 months ago.

Alpha 1 is a sterndrive, not an engine. I would need the serial number off of the engine just to know which series of 5.7 you have. The serial number will be on a metal plate riveted to the engine block just above the starter motor.
