Customer Question

I have a 1987 115 Mariner in line six. It idles perfect for a few minutes. Then it idles up high and stays there for a few seconds and then dies back down to normal idle. What's my problem?

Hello Danny. My name is Tan.

This is a sign of fuel starvation or a lean fuel condition. Choke the engine when it starts to idle up does it slow down.Squeeze the primer bulb does it idle down.

Do these 2 tests when the engine acts up post back with findings.
