Maybe you can help me with our problem? We have a dive boat

Customer Question

Maybe you can help me with our problem?
We have a dive boat and have bought 2 Suzuki 200Hp engines. We have been running them about 3 months, and when the ocean is calm there is no problem, but when it is a little rough the engines are taking in air and not catching the water.
We have change the position 3 times now. This last ime we put them with the ant-ventilation plate at the same level as the bottom of the boat. It is a V so, level with the bottom at the V, not the complete bottom of the boat.
Still they are taking in air.
Can yo ugive me any tips or ideas about what we can do now?
We are in Ecuador and the Suzuki dealer here is not very helpful.

HI Alice, my name is Jaosn.

What do you mean by they are taking in air? Is the engine overheating, or is the propeller loosing it's bite in the water?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hello JasonThey are losing the bite in the water and just spinning in air.

Do you have aluminum propellers or stainless propellers? Do those propellers have any damage at all to them, or are they physically perfect in condition?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

How long is the boat, and what is the average swell height when you go out?

Hi Alice, it looks like you read my last reply and logged off without responding back. The website did charge you to speak with me, was this something you still needed help with?
