Customer Question

Do I need to cut the back out of where my starter is to replace it on a 1999 Beneteau 28 Clipper. I believe the Solenoid is bad as it is often slow to start.

With the engine being slow to start, this would be an issue with the battery cables going to the engine or the battery itself. Test the voltage going to the engine when you try to start the engine. If it falls below 9.5V, you will need to test the battery. If the battery is good, replace the cables.
