I have a 2004 Crestliner 1850 Sportfish and the top bolt on

Customer Question

I have a 2004 Crestliner 1850 Sportfish and the top bolt on my swim/boarding ladder snapped off. I can't access the back side of the bolt through the compartment that holds the oil reservoir. Can I just remove the what is left of the existing bolt in the transom and try to use a new bolt? Please help.

Hello, my name is***** will assist you.

If you get really lucky, the nut will stay inplace for you to remove the old bolt and insert a new one. You may wind up going to a lag bolt to hold the ladder, or drill completely through both plates there at the back of the boat and thru bolt it that way.
