I recently purchased an old excellent condition Century

Customer Question

I recently purchased an old excellent condition Century Coronado. Just put it in the water and it had a 1/2 tank of year old gas. It started to backfire and stall. It has a 225 Gray Marine. Refilled the tank and now the gas gauge doesn't work and it backfires and sputters during some but not all acceleration.

Hello, my name is***** will assist you.

You are going to need to clean the fuel delivery to the engine. the sitting and the old fuel has plugged up the jets/injectors on it and is causing the issue. Getting rid of the old fuel would also help here.
