I have an 06 Suzuki 150 4 stroke with less than 300 hours.

Customer Question

I have an 06 Suzuki 150 4 stroke with less than 300 hours. When cranking engine with the muffs and a hose it take about 10 tries to get it to continue running. If the boat is unloaded and in the water it will crank and idle with a couple tries. What is causing this?

Hello, my name is***** will assist you.

Remove the spark plugs and inspect the tips of them. You are looking for one that may be cleaner than the others. With the plugs out, attach the muffs to the engine and turn the water on, see of you get any water from one of the cylinders. You could have a bad head gasket or an exhaust gasket.
