Flipped seadoo. Water in compartment. Cleaned cylinders,

Customer Question

Flipped seadoo. Water in compartment. Cleaned cylinders, plugs. Starts and runs fine. Water won't shoot in forward or reverse. Is there an electrical connection that needs trying? Not sure where location of that might be

Hello, my name us Charles. I will assist you.

It the impeller on the ski, actually still turning?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Can't tell, it was turned over then water filled engine compartment. Cleaned plugs etc and it runs ok no water being pushed out.

Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.

Ok, Are you near the ski now?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Yes, i underneath. Impeller seems to be spinning

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

No propulsion

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Yes, impleller is spinning

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Charles you still there?

Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.

Yes, Im here. Shift the ski and see of the bucket on the nozzle and see if it is actually moving.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Impeller moving. Ski not spitting water. Would fipping it cause an issue with water pump or is it electrical?

Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.

What year is the ski? What brand?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Seadoo 2001 GTS

sons friend rolled it, filled engine compartment with water. Drained it, got water out of cylinders now no water shooting and it's not spitting.

Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.

so no water flow at all?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

None, since it turned over runs ok but don't want to run with it not spitting water.

Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.

Look at the impeller from the grates. See if you can measure the distance from the impeller edge to the wearing ring.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I tried to measure impeller from back of motor casing to where go to the back. I did this under water through the grates. 9 inches?

Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.

Looking it up.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I think 9 inches. I measured in the water through the the grates

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Wonder if there is some type of switch or fuse that kicked off the waterpump

Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.

the impeller is direct coupled ti the engine. When the engine spins, so does the impeller. The reading that you are looking for on the impeller is 0.040" from the tip of the blade to the wear ring. Any more that that, the ski will not function correctly.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Relist: Inaccurate answer.
This is a water propulsion question not an impeller question
