i have a four winns 238 vista with a 5.7 we had to take the head off to get a broken plug out and its been two mos in the process coz im in the military and was in the middle east and now im back at our base in the philippines as got the whole thing back together but forgot what wires go where on the alternator i have 5 wires that go on t theres a yellow blk purple red with a blk wire connected to it like a jumper i no the red was n one pole and the blk on another but forgot where they all go can you help send a pic if you can thank you

The yellow wire is the one throwing me off. Is this a heavy wire? If you check with a voltmeter is there voltage on that wire?
