Customer Question

I have a 1984 Searay Seville with a mercruiser 3.0 140 that will run for a half hour or so then when you throttle down it dies and we have to wait 15 or 20 minutes for it to start again

Hello. My name is Tan.

When the engine dies we need to check for voltage at the ignition coil purple wire. Do you have voltage.

This could be an ignition issue or a fuel issue.

To eliminate the boat side fuel system run the engine on an auxiliary fuel tank.

Does it run better?
