Getting boat out of storage. I live in northeast US so cold

Customer Question

Getting boat out of storage. I live in northeast US so cold winters. I Have changed the oil and lower unit oil. On the muffs, it was a rough start, but finally got boat started. After a while, it idled just fine. If I slowly give it the throttle, it holds, but stalls when I get to a certain point. If I quickly give it a lot of gas, it stalls. Tank was about half full all winter with added stabilizer before storage. Have also added some sea foam gas treatment since getting it,back out.

Hi Dan, my name is Jason.

Step 1 is going to be to hook up a portable fuel tank filled with fresh gas to the engine, and run it on that and see if it makes a difference or not. Is that something you can do?

No. I do not have a portable fuel tank.

Lets do this another way.... I do not know what you have for tools or abilities, what kinds of questions did you have for me?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Should I try to siphon old gas out replace with fresh?
Expert:  Jason replied 1 year ago.

I'm thinking there is a 50/50 chance the gas is bad. But there might be another problem as well. Are you near the boat now for a quick check?

Are you still with me Dan?
