My port f350 engine only runs to 2500 RPMs and then sputters with advancement of throttle. What can be causing this?

You are losing fuel pressure. It could be due to a clogged filter or possibly a failed fuel pump. First step is to replace the fuel separator and clean or replace the on motor filter. If that doesn't help, you need to have the fuel pressure checked. Do not run it for any significant time like this as running lean is a common cause of engine failure.
