Customer Question

I have a 3408 in a boat. Water in both exhaust manifolds and a little in the oil.
Removed the plugs on the exit of the exhaust manifolds - water came out both sides. When I put water in the header tank it comes out both of the exhaust manifolds with in a few seconds. First thought it was a head gasket but this comes out to fast - any ideas?

Thanks for asking your question. I will try and help you out.

If water is coming out of the exhaust that fast, I must suspect cracked heads. I am sorry. I wish I had better news. If it was a head gasket I would think the coolant would go into the cylinders and hydrolock the engine.
