I have a 2005 Yamaha 150-4 stroke on my bass boat. the other day while running it it (BURPED) TWICE AND NOW EVERY TIME I TRIM IT UP IT REVS TO 6500-6700 RPM. IT HAS NEVER REVVED OVER 5900 RPM! I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL WITH THE ENGINE. WHATS UP???????????????

Can you give me a little more detail?

How high are you trimming the engine? Is the boat attitude different? Is the speed changed? How about when it is at full rpm?

Is the boat harder to get on plane?
