Customer Question

hi Jason
I am just reviewing this message about the installation of the stern drive on mercruiser, I am having the same problem. When I install the lower unit, my shift lever does not line up with the shift lever on the transom. I followed the manual but since my is LH rotation I put the shift lever in reverse and now I cannot get it to line up, if I put the shift lever in forward, it lines up perfectly but now I have the lower unit in reverse, how can I tell if the unit is in forward gear so I can slide it on the shift lever. thanks

Hello my name is ***** ***** am I speaking with?

Are you working on an alpha or a bravo unit?

Are you trying to install the entire drive as one assembly into the transom, or is the upper half of the sterndrive mounted, and you are trying to get the lower up into place?
