Customer Question

I have a marine kohler 5ebbg generator. I removed the cap on vented elbow and now The vented water elbow is leaking water out of the small hole when it's running. Is that normal? Is there supposed to be something under there? Can I stick something under the cap so it stops?

The vent is supposed to have a small check ball in there that allows air in to break the siphon and closes off the port when you get water pressure against it. So the ball is either missing or stuck in the open position.
