For the most part engines horsepower is maxed out when the engine leaves the factory. What kind of problem are you having?

Hi Wayne,

They do use the same engine block up to 250 horsepower. So theoretically it can be converted to a 250. However, the engine would have to come apart and the engine blocks porting would have to be machined by a machine shop capable of doing the work. Realistically it would cost you more to have done than the engine is worth. On top of that the carbs would have to be rejetted.
