My 2000 model bayliner will run down river good for 5mins or so then quit it will start back and run good I Go down the river and it will quit again

Hello. My name is Tan.

This is most likely a fuel starvation issue. Can you run the engine on another fuel source? This is where you get a gas can and smoe fuel hose. Disconnect the fuel line connected to the engine plug this line. Now connect the gas can and fuel line to the engine. Run the boat does it run better?

This will tell us if the boat side fuel system is the cause of the issue or the engine.
