ihave a 1993 mercury 40hp outboard w oil injection. currently the pans (that house the floats) leak. i need to remove the carb but cannot figure out how to get clear access to the bolts to remove them

To get the carbs off, you need to start to remove one of the nuts that are holding carb on. As one comes off you can start to remove the other nut. Start with the upper carb, then move to the lower.
