Customer: replied 2 years ago.
My water pump went out on my Yamaha. 90 horse I stopped. The motor if it over heated the alarm would. Have went off.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Did the motor over heat
Expert:  Jason replied 2 years ago.
Have you replaced the water pump and thermostat yet?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I just wanted to make sure I didn't. Burn my motor up. When the pump went out no alarm went off so if it got hot the alarm would have went off correct

It is supposed to. Do you know if your alarm system works?
Expert:  Jason replied 2 years ago.
If you remove the emergency stop switch clip. And then turn the key. Does it beep, or is it silent?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
It don't beep when I do that
Expert:  Jason replied 2 years ago.
Hmmmm..... It should. That is the test to see if the alarm works or not. If it does not beep, and if you overheated, you would not have known about it.
