I have a Merc jet in an 18 foot Twister boat. I sucked up

Customer Question

I have a Merc jet in an 18 foot Twister boat. I sucked up the tow rope while tubing with the grandkids. We were just starting and I realized what was happening and shut it down, but the rope appears to be twisted in the impeller. I have it back on the lift and have access to the engine. I am a long way from my home in Fond du Lac where my Merc mechanic is. Help!!!

Hello, my name is***** you for allowing me to assist you today.
You will need to access the bottom of the boat. Remove the rock grate on the bottom of the boat and then you can get to the impeller to remove the rope. It cannot be done from the top.
