I have a 2010 90 HP 4 stroke EFI Merc. I made the mistake

Customer Question

I have a 2010 90 HP 4 stroke EFI Merc. I made the mistake of connecting the battery backwards and the alternator stopped working. I replaced the alternator and still am not charging the battery; voltage measures 12.47 VDC running and 12.75 VDC off, with a fluke meter. The fuses are not blown. Is there an inline fuse of fuseable link in the circuit somewhere?

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will assist you. There should be a 30 A fuse in line with the red wire going from the red wire of the rectifier. Check that fuse as most probably that is blown. If it is ok then most probably you have a damaged rectifier.
If you require further assistance let me know.
