would like to tie into cooling system to have warm water for showering on a freshwater boat tank strait from engine . can i use the 1/2 plugs in intake manifold

Hello. My name is***** have not but I don't see why it wouldn't work. You would only be able to use it with engine running. You would plumb it in like a hot water heater. Plumb it at the thermostat housing or the circulation pump. There should be an available plug. Post back with questions.

one suggestion was the 1/2 plug coming out of the intake manifold ...does that seem like a valid place to put a valve

i believe there is on just behind the thermostat in the intake manifold
