Customer Question

I reversed the connection on the 2 lighter gauge wires when connecting to the battery. Some smoke came out of the engine vents and I disconnected the wires. Now, I think I do not have spark to the plug. I tried to look for a spark jumping from a nail in the spark plug boot to the spark plug, but saw nothing. I also touched the spark plug wire while the key was turned, but no shock. The trim works, the motor turns over, but no spark. What should I look for. Thanks.
