What would cause my season rfi gti to take on a lot of water

Customer Question

What would cause my season rfi gti to take on a lot of water in the engine compartment at speed but not at idle or low speed

The bellow hose and carbone ring over the drive shaft is usually the culprit in these situations. You can remove the seat and ride it while watching and see if you can see water rushing in there. Those bellow hoses get weak and there's more pressure on them when you're at speed than at idle.
