All Mercurys are cataloged by serial number can I get that number please.
Next, do you have a decent quality digital volt/ohm meter and do you know how to take resistance measurements? If yes, are you near the engine now and ready to work?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I do not hame an ohm meter
Expert:  Jason replied 2 years ago.
Without a meter there isn't much we can test. That being said, what kinds of questions did you have about the engine?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
If I purchase one and contact back later..would someone be available?
Expert:  Jason replied 2 years ago.
I'll be on and off throughout the day. The issue here though is you would have to know how to use a meter, it's not something I can teach you how to use.

Expert:  Jason replied 2 years ago.
All outboard powered boats are supposed to have one installed in the boat by the drivers area by law.
