Customer Question

I have a 2001 Sea Ray Sundeck with a 220 Mercury cruiser. It is having idle problems. The IAC has been replaced but to no avail. Computer switched and again no help. The mechanic is stumped. It runs great in service mood. He thinks there is an air leak. Any ideas? I just want my boat back. Vic

Hello my name is ***** ***** am I speaking with?
If there was an air leak the engine would have a very high idle, so chances are that's not it. The first 2 checks would be checking compression pressures and fuel pressures. Have those been done yet?
What is the serial number on the engine?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
yes fuel and compression are both good. I do not have serial number with me at the moment.
