Johnson(###) ###-####; new voltage regulator ;less than5 hours. on crank up volt meter at 12.5 to 13.5; at about 2200 rpm volt meter jumps to 16 . have put hand meter on across dash meter and both read the same up to 16. hand meter across battery while running holds at 13.5 to 14.5 DO NOT WANT TO DAMGE THE SYSTEM..PLEASE ADVISE OR SUGGEST WHAT MAY BE THE PROB. TWIN ENGINE SYSTEM ON SEPERATE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS

Just want to confirm. The dash gauge reads 16 volts, but using an actual hand held meter on the battery reads not higher than 14.5, am I following you correctly?
