I have a technical question about my 1 year old 130S- Saildrive.

Customer Question

I have a technical question about my 1 year old 130S-B Saildrive. It is pushing oil up through the extraction tube cap. There is no water entering the unit, and the oil is clean and clear. The oil is at the correct level between the first and second marks. When I shut the engine down and remove the extraction tube cap, there is oil up to the cap. As soon as I remove the oil fill cap, the oil drops down into the oil extraction tube to it's normal level. It seems as if the o-rings on the extraction tube cap are not sealing properly, or the case of over pressurizing. Can you provide any suggestions?

Hi, My name is***** you for letting me try and assist you with your problem.
You're on the right track.
The case is getting pressurized.
The fill needs replaced. It should vent through the cap and it's not.
