Customer Question

i have a 1998 Bayliner 1950 Capri boat. IT will not go into gear the push knob on the shift lever will not spring back out after you push it in for starting in neutral(throttle only) It appears not to be anything major, maybe a clip or a spring, but i cant get the shift lever off to look at it. Any ideas? Jeff

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will assist you. Yes it seems that the know blocked inside. What you need to do is to get try and unblock the knob by spraying some WD40 and getting the lever in gear and out of gear so that is unblocks. If it still does not unblock you may need to open the controller and unblock it manually.
If you need further assistance let me know.
