Customer Question

I have 2003 Honda 130 outboard. It recently started sounding the check engine alarm after running for about ten minutes. I checked both the temp sensor and oil pressure sensors and both were functioning. Now the alarm is constant whenever I start the engine, even if I disconnect the leads to both sensors.

Hello, my name is***** you for allowing me to assist you today.
Check the output voltage of the Alternator when the engine is running. It should be at least 12.8 at idle and 14.0V DC at 2000 RPM, if it is higher or lower, you have a failing alternator.
