My name is***** have a Mercury outboard 2012 Four stroke

Customer Question

My name is***** have a Mercury outboard 2012 Four stroke EFI engine with a 10 x 8 pitch propeller, mounted on a tracker Pro guide V-16 WT boat. At high-altitude the motor doesn't have enough power to reach wide-open throttle, about 4400 rpm's is the maximum it will do. I believe I have the smallest propeller that I can purchase for this motor. It has a 1.92 to1 gear reduction.
Are gears available for purchase that I can interchange so I can raise the gear ratio.

Hi Robert, my name is ***** ***** I will be helping you today.
Mercury does not offer any other gear ratio for this engine.
Did you have any other questions on this, or was that your primary concern?
If you have more questions, out of curiosity, have you spoken with Tracker yet? And is so what did they tell you?
