Just purchased Vantage 101 for...

Just purchased Vantage 101 for my 16ft. heavy duty inflatable,short transom. As well I purchased 3 Lifeline marine GPL-31T batteries,minnkota MK-345D on-board battery charger,MKP-19 60A breaker and a Microlog monitoring system DMM-4-BR 3 battery bank. Any insight on how to mount all this; keeping it dry and tidy and some-what portable? And is there anything else I should be aware of?

Are you going to leave the boat inflated and on a trailer or deflate and stow? Ask as many questions as needed so we can figure this out

Using this set as primary propulsion from the transom. The boat has a aluminum bottom; really quite sturdy! The boat will be used on weekends then deflated to stow; and there lies my problem of portability as these AGM marine batteries weigh 69lbs. each. Maybe a fashioned plastic tote or plywood box I don't really have any ideas yet

I am concerned of the weight of all this gear if you were to put it all in the back of the boat. Three 69# XXXXX a 22# XXXXX charger, a T/M that has to be 80# XXXXX more, your monitor, then your fishing gear and people.

What is the max weight cap. people motor and gear of your boat ?

Well the boat is huge! Gross cargo 2680lbs. good for 10 people!

That is quite a bit for a 16Ft boat. How much room is behind the rear bench?

Is there any storage under the rear bench?

What brand is your boat? I would like to see if I can find a pic of it.

I believe that I would mount the battery boxes spread across the back-panel of the floor or the panel just forward of it. The charger and monitor could be mounted under the seat. If the monitor is small enough it could also be mounted on the transom. the batteries would have to be removed to stow the boat, that would be much easier that carrying all the weight.
Do you know how to wire a 36V trolling motor?

I believe yes I do! I have the wiring diagrams The batteries are wired in series 12-12-12=36v I'm a little worried about the monitor as it was designed for a 24v system. But I talked to the manufacturer and they said no problem and that they would modify the unit to go over 36v

Yes Thanks! I never thought about under the rear bench. As for the monitor it's tiny.
