Have a 90 hp 2007 Yamaha. The power trim switch for raising

This answer was rated:

Have a 90 hp 2007 Yamaha. The power trim switch for raising and lower on lower cowling is not working. We checked the fuses and replaced on by the battery term. Still does not work. Thoughts?
Hi, and thank you for letting me try and assist you with your problem.
Does the switch on the controls work?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
I'll assume it doesn't work with the engine running either.
This could be two things more than likely it's the trim relays.
Or the brushes in the trim motor are sticking and not making good contact.
Usually both relays don't go bad but it happens. If they're good I'd make sure your battery is in good shape before I got into checking the motor brushes.
