If the battery cables where not tighten fully or have corrosion, that can cause the rectifier to go bad, i see this on a ton of boats
These are also water cooled, that if you do not clean them out every 2 years or flush the motor with water, the heat sinks can get clogged up with minerals and cause a heating problem
0584093 is the part number and it is all plug and play, then you need(NNN) NNN-NNNNthe seal to seal it

You also have a 1993 motor
