What should I do about my 1990 100 hp JOHNSON outboard with an

I HAVE A 1990 100...

I HAVE A 1990 100 hp JOHNSON OUTBOARD WITH AN OMC CONTROL BOX. THE BOAT WAS A SALTWATER BOAT, THEREFORE IT HAD TWO TRIM SWITCHES ON THE ACTUAL THROTTLE (ONE FOR TRIM AND ONE FOR A JACKPLATE). I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT OMC MAKES THIS CONTROL BOX ANY MORE. THE FEATURES OF THE CONTROL BOX ARE BASIC FORWARD, REVERSE, AND NEUTRAL. KEY ENGINE PRIMING (BY COMPRESSING THE KEY LIKE A PUMP) AND A PADDLE STYLE ENGINER CHOKE FOR NEUTRAL (WARMING UP THE ENGINE).

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR A REPLACEMENT BOX WITH THE SAME FEATURES?

What type of mount is the control box? Side mount, concealed side mount top binnacle mount etc.

It is a center console boat.

The controls are side mount... If you are at the steering wheel, the controls are on the right side of the center console. The right side of the control box is exposed, left side mounts to the console.

Do you have the Johnson controls or are they made by another manufacturer? Are the controls the same age as the engine? You have key switch,trim switch, jack plate switch and warm up lever all in the control box correct.

It is a center console boat.

Yes, it is just like the one on the far left picture (white). I spotted that one as well. If I could buy a new one I would... The boat has been completely redone (carpet, exterior clear coat, etc.) so I am hesitant to buy an "old one." If it looked a little more clean, I would be tempted. The note on that add says single trim switch. Ours has two given the jack plate.

Ok, Yes you are right no longer available. The only way you might find is by luck or search. Now you could go with the one on the far right and relocate the jack plate switch elsewhere. If this is not an option I will continue the search for the same box you have.

Just confirming, does the on the far right have the neutral choke lever, key priming (push the key in like a pump), and a single trim?

Here is the control box you are looking for. I found this one in the model year 2000. This is the Johnson sight.
