Hi, The water always comes out through the exhaust whether it be through the exhaust holes at the back of the motor or the prop. The cooling comes out through the exhaust as an exit point and for cooling the exhaust. When at idle a very small amount comes out the back of the motor which is normal, when on plane you will see allot of water coming out these holes.
it seems like there are bursts of water at times though when idle-ing. is that normal?
Yes perfectly normal
and if i see a sight gas slick in the water behind teh engine that's ok too?
Yes as long as the engine is running fine. These engines run a little rich so a mist of fuel is normal.
ok, thanks. the engine was running a little rough but i'll take it out now and see. thanks
Your welcome. The engine can idle a little rough till warmed up.
