how do I turn off the oil sensor alarm on mercury outboard 115?

Hello and thanks for using Justanswer,


The oil sensor is located in the engine mounted oil reservoir. You can silence the alarm by just unplugging the wire (tan, i think) that comes out of the cap on that reservoir. If you bypass the alarm, though, you'll have no notification when you are low on oil and therefore serious damage can and will occur should you run the engine with no oil.
