Causes of Water Leaks in MINI Models

• Deteriorated windshield cowl cover: This will cause the cowl cover to not be sealed to your windshield properly, which can cause leaks on the passenger side of your MINI.
• Broken or missing plastic hatch cover on the battery: With the location of your battery in a MINI, this will likely cause water to pool up in the floorboard.
• Clogged sunroof drain tubes: As a common problem in any vehicle with a sunroof, clogged drain tubes can make water back up into your vehicle’s cabin. Water usually drips down the sides and from the roof.
• Improper windshield installation: As a less common culprit, an improperly installed windshield may not have enough adhesive on the glass to seal out water allowing it to pool in the floor of your MINI.
