hi im kevin does engine turn over by hand front crankshaft pulley bolt ?

ok so you have an electrical issue .do you have a multimeter to test feed to starter ?and also the earth that connects to engine mount has been reattached ?

i have a multi meter.ill check the ground.i work in a repair shop and got stuck with it when the person who took it apart got fired so im not sure about which ground you are refering to

on the engine mount on timing chain end there is an earth lead that bolts to engine mount itself comes from body .I sure your aware but just check you have 12volt switch feed down to smaller starter terminal?

the ground being loose was part of it.now when you push the start button it will try to crank then stop

ok do you have diagnostic equipment tom see if you have any fault codes .if timings correct these normally start on the button after head rebuild

ok that obviously wont cause a non start how long does it actually crank for?

for just a split second like its in some kind of default mode

I would pop battery back off for a few minutes as its had earth loose and try again it may reset

it still does the same thing.it just cranks for a split second then stops

Have you tested for power on the starter solenoid control wire while attempting to crank the engine but it will not turn?
