How much longer? I'll be on the road tomorrow and I'm trying to get this done today. For $36 I'd have thought this would be a priority. If I don't have an answer before three I'll stop by the BMW dealer tomorrow.

its #8 in the pic The fluid level must be visible through the fluid level viewing window. Bottom of the window is minimum, top is maximum.

  1. Dismount the hydraulic unit. Do not disconnect hydraulic lines.
  2. Lay unit on it’s side, so fill plug is up.
  3. Remove fill plug and add a small amount of fluid. Adding small amounts until properly full is far easier than removing fluid if the unit is overfilled.
  4. With plug still removed, turn unit upright to check fluid level in the fluid level window. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the reservoir is properly filled.
  5. If the reservoir is overfilled, lay on its side to drain fluid (use a small baking tray, or similar, to catch fluid. the fluid part # ***** ***** number: 54 34 0 394 395
