Brake Booster Vacuum - Incorrect brake booster vacuum can cause the brake pedal to be hard. Vacuum Brake Booster Malfunctioning vacuum brake booster can cause the brake pedal to be hard. Brake Hose Blocked brake hose can cause the brake pedal to be hard. Brake Line - A blocked brake line can cause the brake pedal to be hard. Master Cylinder - Malfunctioning master cylinder can cause the brake pedal to be hard. Antilock Brake System (ABS) Hydraulic Unit Malfunctioning ABS hydraulic unit can cause the brake pedal to be hard. Antilock Brake System (ABS) Control Module - A malfunctioning ABS control module can cause the brake pedal to be hard.
