Verified<p>Hello bluesky,</p><p> </p><p>This does sound like an electrical problem, and the vehicle should be looked at by your mechanic or BMW dealer. This sounds like it might need a hands on approach to solve.</p><p> </p><p>However, I can give you a suggestion for your mechanic that is a common problem and often is associated with multiple strange electrical malfunctions. A common complaint when the ignition switch is going bad it the radio stops working at times, and other electrical components start acting strange. The ignition switch is under the dash and feeds power to many vehicle components. When there is an internal voltage drop the strange things you are seeing often occurs. The switch is relatively small and inexpensive and should only require aprox 1-1.5 hours to install. </p>
