Need a .5" front sight for a s&w m&P m2 shield

Expert's Assistant: The Gunsmith will know what to do. Please tell me everything you can so the Gunsmith can help you best.

* Need front sight .5 to .625 height for S&W M&P M2 Shield to co-witness with Leupold DeltaPoint Pro accessory rear iron sight.

Expert's Assistant: Is there anything else important you think the Gunsmith should know?

I want the iron sights to appear in the DeltaPoint approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of the bottom of the glass. The Performance Center stock front sight is .32 inches above the top of the slide.

Hi,

There are not any sights made that high to fit your gun or any other that I can find. There are 2 things you can do. The first is to use the base from your front sight, make and solder a taller blade to it.

The other is to use one of the tall rifle sights which would require milling the front dovetail to .375" (3/8") The following sight is .570". There are many different heights available.
