Q: What's the best way to remove old bumper stickers and glue residue from them that might be left on my car?

Most auto parts stores have a product called Sticker Off. This will remove the sticker without damaging the painted surface of the bumper.

For removing glue residue left from old stickers, those stores also carry an adhesive release/remover product that dissolves the nasty glue. Goo Gone will also work. A few household chemicals that may work are lighter fluid, nail polish remover, or charcoal starting fluid.

When you do the removal, always wear rubber gloves and try a small area first to make sure there is no interaction with the paint.
