I want to make sure if my bird is sick or not. He's a yellow-sided turquoise conure, and we're mostly sure he's less than a year old. He's been shaking lately (might be a bit cold for him--we're fixing it), and his poops are more liquidy than normal. If it matters, he's molting and has pin feathers everywhere.

Customerresponding to your questions and concerns regarding your Conure.Seasonal changes & a molt are both stressful. When birds become stressed, they are more prone to becoming ill/sick.Can you upload pictures of the droppings & of your bird? What is his name?

He seems to be eating okay, mostly. The last couple days, a little less than normal. What's a concer? His breast bone is vibrating.
The loose stool is a Concern, it tells us that Ducky is sick.Birds heart rates are very fast, you are most likely feeling the vibration of his heart beating.aav.org has an vet locator on website

Hi Cathy,
I'm just following up on our conversation about Duckie. How is everything going?

He's still got really wet poops, but the vet said they didn't see bacteria, yeast, or parasites, so they think it's just the stress from molting. He's looking better, though (less scraggly).
Give Ducky lots of TLC as he goes thru his molt. During periods of stress probiotics can be beneficial, you can order avian specific probiotics online.Very glad you took him into to see his vet.
