Hi again,
Ideally I'd like a baby budgie trained to eat a balanced pelleted diet such as can be found here: or here: plus munching on hard boiled egg yolk, the tops of fresh greens, dairy products like cheese and yogurt, and tiny pieces of meat. Until you can get your birds eating properly like that, yes, the Oasis avian vitamins and calcium supplements are smart to have in their water. The Prime looks good. HARI means that the product has been researched and approved by the Hagen Avicultural Research Institute. It sounds impressive.
As for his rubbing himself, I'm not sure what you're seeing but it's not like we can do anything about it! Maybe you'll end up with lots of little budgies!
