Customer Question

I bought a youngood conure, after 2 days a noticed a black mass. Took him back to who I bought it from. They looked at it and cleaned it said it was a puncture on his throat. Said some food was coming out of it, but treat it topically it will be fine. Should I be more worried?

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Does "food coming out of a puncture on his throat" mean that his crop has been opened and is leaking? If so, this may seal but could also become a permanent life-threatening infected fistula (draining tract). I recommend returning Sunshine to the sellers who should have an avian-oriented vet (please see here: look at him or at the very least nurse him back to complete health before selling him to you.
