Are you a veterinarian?? I really wanted to talk to an avian
well, she's not sick. i have two female parakeets. One is about 2 years old there other is around 1. I've been finding eggs on the bottom of the cage. She or both is laying eggs from the top perch and landing on the ground and cracked. I immediately took it away. She laid three every 2 days and was worried because there was a little blood on one. I want to stop this behavior. I've tried rearranging the cage, covering them early, etc. and I purchased dummy eggs also. I put 7 dummy eggs (followed directions from dummy eggs.com) and they're kicking all the eggs out. I've seen the yellow female actually lay the egg but has never seen the white one. Not sure if both are laying, but I did see the white one kick the eggs out. I have a small open nest - not a nest box. I replaced the eggs and bedding twice and they kicked them out twice. What can I do now? Move the nest and do it all over again?? I'm worried about her/their health. thank you. hope you have an answer … read more
