You can file a Bankruptcy on your own, without an attorney. However, if you do not want to pay around $1200 to an attorney to have him fill out and file the papers, you can instead pay a Bankruptcy preparer around $200 to fill out the papers, and then you can file them on your own.

It is extremely difficult to fill out the papers on your own, because there are 60 pages that have to be filled out.
